Senior Walk In Bathtubs For The Elderly
Senior walk in bathtubs are a popular option for the elderly and disabled. They can help some bathers rediscover a sense of independence when bathing. There are few things as terrifying as slipping in the bathtub. If you have known someone who has, they will tell you how horrible it can be. For those that live alone, a fall in a bathtub can have even more severe consequences if the bather can’t get up or is knocked unconscious. These are serious things to consider. While there is no perfectly safe bathtub or bathroom, there are certain precautions you can make to help minimize risk. Having a little foresight, especially when it comes to aging in place can really go a long way. f
Do you want Acylic Or Gel Coat?
Most walk in baths are going to have a fiberglass foundation. Typically they are coated with either an acrylic or triple gel coat finish. Upon examination it may be hard for someone to tell the difference between the two. Acrylic is typically less porous and has a little shinier sheen to it and easier to clean than gel coat. Gel coat however is more lightweight than its counterpart. We proudly offer walk in tubs and handicap showers with both finishes as an option.
